On the 31st of December 2015, PT Energi Mega Persada Tbk. (“EMP” or “the Company”), through its subsidiaries, EMP Bentu Limited, has signed a US$60 million loan facility agreement with Intesa Sanpaolo SpA & the Britannic Strategies Limited. The loan facility has a five years tenor and interest rate of LIBOR + 6.8% p.a. EMP and PT Tunas Harapan Perkasa (EMP’s subsidiary) act as the Guarantors in this agreement.

PT Energi Mega Persada Tbk. (“EMP” or “the Company”) today reported that yesterday, on the 29th of December 2015, its 51% owned subsidiary, EMP ONWJ Ltd, signed a Production Sharing Contract (“PSC”) extension for the Offshore North West Java (“ONWJ”) block in West Java.

PT Energi Mega Persada Tbk. (“EMP” or “the Company”) today reported US$465 million Sales and US$236 million EBITDA during its first 9 months 2015 financial results.
Mr. Imam Agustino, EMP’s CEO, said, “On the quarterly basis, our Sales, EBITDA, and production volume are relatively consistent. The main reason for the net loss of US$40 million remain the large depreciation, depletion, and amortization costs as a result of EMP having to apply the new Indonesian GAAP accounting method. This was thoroughly explained in our press release issued on the 5th of June 2015.”

PT Energi Mega Persada Tbk. (“EMP” or “the Company”) today reported that it has secured the extension of the Gebang PSC block (North Sumatera) for another 20 years. In the new extended contract, EMP through its subsidiary, owns 100% participating interest in the Gebang PSC. Prior to such contract extension, the Gebang block is operated by both Pertamina Hulu Energi and EMP via a Joint Operating Body (JOB).
The exhibition booth of EMP, PSC Riau and SKK Migas of Sumbagut managed to win the first award for the category of Private Company at Riau Expo 2015. The award was received directly by the representative of the Special Work Unit on Oil and Gas (SKK Migas) of Sumbagut (Northern part of Sumatra) Syuib Hamid on Sunday, November 1st, 2015 in Pekanbaru. At the booth of EMP were displayed various products made by the local enterprises under the company’s program of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) during the exhibition held from October 26 through November 1 2015 in Pekanbaru. At the exhibition EMP displayed the CSR products of both EMP Bentu Ltd and EMP Malacca Strait SA.
As part of efforts to show its concern on the environment of the company’s operations, EMP MSSA in collaboration with a number of pupils and students in the Regency of Meranti Islands (IPMK2M) of Pekanbaru carried out the activities of planting 2000 mangrove seeds at Teluk Belitung in the Subdistrict of Merbau on Monday (Sep28, 2015). The event of planting activities was also attended by Subdistrict Head of Merbau, Village Head of Teluk Belitung, KNPI of Merbau, Merbau PP and students of high school (SMA1) and junior high school (SMP2) of Merbau.
In order to improve the business cooperation between Indonesia and Mozambique, Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce (Kadin) Suryo Bambang Sulisto and his entourage consisting of Head of African Compartment Mintarjo Halim and Head of Foreign Relations Rahardjo Jamtomo paid a working visit to Mozambique on October 6, 2015. One o f the agenda of meeting was to increase the business multilateral cooperation as discussed with Prime Minister of Mozambique Carlos Agostinho do Rosário.
Zero Accident Award (ZAA) is an award from Indonesia Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker) for the achievement of company in implementing the program on Work Health and Safety (K3). One indicator of achievement is Zero Accident at least within a period of three consecutive years. Under the Ministerial Decree of Manpower No. 358 2015 on the Determination of Company as Recipient for Zero Accident Award, EMP Bentu Ltd, EMP Korinci Baru Ltd, and EMP Gelam were again awarded the Zero Accident Awards. The awards were presented by Minister of Manpower M. Hanif Dhakiri on September 10, 2015 in Bidakara Hotel of South Jakarta.

EMP Malacca Strait SA (EMP MSSA) was planting 1,000 mangrove seeds when commemorating the 70th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia in Pantai Mengkapan of Sungai Apit Subdistrict in Siak Regency on Monday (Aug17) afternoon. PT Energi Mega Persada Tbk. (“EMP” or “the Company’) today reported that its Bentu PSC block in Riau Sumatera has received the approved Plan of Further Development for the Seng and Segat gas fields from the government (SKK Migas). Such development is expected to increase the block’s output by over 50 million cubic feet gas per day, starting in year 2017. The additional gas output will be sold to Pertamina Dumai at the price range of $7.5 – $8 / mmbtu.

PT Energi Mega Persada Tbk. (“EMP” or “the Company”) today reported that on the 30th of June, 2015, the Company has repaid more than $40 million of the loan facility from Mitsubishi & Japex. Overall, from December 2013 to June 2015, EMP has successfully reduced its debt by more than $279 million.

2 weeks after reporting additional oil volume from Malacca Strait PSC, PT Energi Mega persada Tbk. (EMP or the Company) today announced significant gas output increase from its operated Bentu PSC block. Throughout year 2014, Bentu PSC block produced an average of 38 million cubic feet gas per day. After the increase, from the 1st of January to the 8th of March 2015, Bentu PSC has been producing an average of 46 million cubic feet gas per day. This translates into 21% higher output. Such production increase is due to higher consumption as a result of the commissioning of PLN’s 11 gas engine units.
